As artificial Intelligence is becoming more integrated into everyday life we should be wary of promises that it day it can make certain processes more efficient. In the video I take a look back on the camera as a new technology in the late 19th and early 20th century and how that was fetishized leading people to believe that the photographs discerning eye was objective.
