David M. Flood is an image-maker working between Finland and Ireland. Currently completing a practice led MA at IADT Dun Laoghaire on the role of globalised capital and urban topographies. David graduated from the Photography BA(Hons) Degree program at IADT Dun Laoghaire in Dublin, Ireland in 2010. David also holds a qualification in Visual Education and while residing in Ireland has taught photography in the Gallery of Photography and Dun Laoghaire College of further Education in Dublin. David currently teaches photography courses at the Espoo Adult Education Centre in Tapiola near Helsinki, Finland.
David’s work has been exhibited in various places in both Ireland and Finland such as RuaRed and the Gallery of Photography in Dublin, Ireland and Caisa and Stoa cultural centers in Helsinki, Finland. Currently I have work in the collections various institutions such as IADT Dun Laoghaire, Ireland and private collections. In 2010 David won the IPPA IADT Student Award for his graduate piece entitled the ‘The Cage’s Keeper’.
David is represented by The Copper House Gallery in Dublin, Ireland where you can view a collection of his work.
